The aim and purpose of the course is to equip participants with the knowledge of theories and concepts relating to gender and health. The duration of the course is of three months and it will be delivered as an online course comprising of 13 lectures, totalling 40 hours of online lectures and self-learning. By the end of the course participants should be able to understand • The concepts of gender and patriarchy • The role of gender in development, violence, disaster and in policies for women • How gender based inequity leads to inequity in health status, access to health care and to the hierarchy within the health care sector • The need for a gender sensitive health system

This module focuses on health system and its varying functions and components and also enlightens the steps taken worldwide to tackle the inequity in health. The duration of the course is of three months and it will be delivered as an online course comprising of 14 lectures, totaling to 40 hours of online lectures and self-learning. By the end of the course, the participants will be able to understand health care delivery as a system, global and regional challenges faced by the health system and possible roadmap to deal with these challenges, different components of the health system especially human resource, finance and their roles and interactions in shaping up the system, complexity of the local health system, This course is supported under ARCADE project
