Dr. Akashdeep Singh Chauhan

Assistant Professor, IIPH-Delhi

Dr Akashdeep Singh Chauhan is a public health professional with over a decade of experience in research, teaching, and policy engagement, with core expertise in health economics and health technology assessment. He holds a Ph.D. in Health Economics from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and an MPH in Health Policy, Economics, and Finance from TISS, Mumbai. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Public Health–Delhi and has previously held positions at King’s College London and the Malaria Consortium UK. His research has contributed to both national and international policy dialogue, with more than 35 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, including The Lancet Public Health, BMJ Global Health, and The Lancet Regional Health – Southeast Asia.

Dr Chauhan has extensive experience in designing and delivering courses at the postgraduate and doctoral levels, covering topics including health economics, health care financing, economic evaluation, costing, decision analytic modelling, epidemiology, and systematic reviews/meta-analysis. He has supervised Master’s and PhD students, led various training programmes, and contributed to national capacity-building initiatives on health technology assessment.
