Prof. Himanshu Negandhi

Director-Academics, PHFI

Prof. Himanshu Negandhi is a medical doctor with postgraduate training in Community Medicine and a Master’s in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney. He has been working with the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) since 2008 and currently leads its Academic initiatives as Director – Academics.

With over 20 years of experience in public health, Prof. Himanshu has worked extensively on health system strengthening projects, particularly in the area of Human Resources for Health (HRH). His expertise includes assessing HRH supply, conducting capacity assessments, designing interventions to address shortages, and monitoring and evaluating national public health programs at scale.

He has also contributed to strengthening public health education across institutions and has served as Faculty Lead for a Master of Public Health program. Alongside his academic leadership, he has taught public health to postgraduate students, paramedics, and in-service professionals, building capacity for India’s health workforce.

Ms. Anjali Sharma

Senior Program Manager- eLearning, PHFI

Anjali Sharma is a Post Graduate in Health and Hospital Management with specialization in Health Management from the International Institute of Health Management Research, New Delhi. She is currently working as Senior Program Manager - eLearning at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), where she leads the eLearning initiatives across PHFI and the Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs). Her work spans program implementation and educational research in public health and health professions education. Her research interests include health professions education, online blended learning (OBL), digital education, human resources for health, and health information systems.

Presently, she is engaged in capacity strengthening and research under the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s (NNF) Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) programme. She is mainly focusing on activities in public health education, research and capacity building for OBL.

Previously, she has contributed to projects addressing the shortage of human resources for health (HRH) in India, strengthening Routine Health Information Systems (RHIS) in South-East Asia, and conducting two rounds of the WHO-SEARO ‘SCORE for Health Data’ assessment in 2018 and 2025.

She is passionate about designing meaningful learning experiences, effectively supporting teachers in using technology, and advancing equitable access to quality education for health professionals. 

Mr. Yogesh Kumar

Manager- Moodle Specialist, PHFI

Yogesh Kumar is currently working as a Manager- Moodle Developer at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). He brings over 18 years of experience in digital learning and technology integration. He specializes in eLearning technologies, particularly open-source platforms such as Moodle, as well as Articulate 360 tools. His expertise spans both content development and platform customization, enabling the delivery of scalable and effective eLearning solutions.

In addition to his eLearning background, Yogesh has experience as an IT Manager, where he developed strong skills in system administration and project management. He also brings hands-on experience in website development, having developed the Career Development website for PHFI, and continues to actively contribute to the organization’s ongoing web development initiatives.

He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications and Information Technology, along with specialized training in Articulate 360. His broad skill set combines software development and data management expertise with strong capabilities in IT management.

Ms. Shrishti Sen

Instructional Designer - Program Manager, PHFI

Shrishti Sen is an Instructional Designer at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), specializing in andragogy-based learning design for public health education. She designs structured content, collaborates with subject matter experts, and integrates gamification & design thinking to create engaging and effective learning experiences. With a background in learning and development and workshop designs, she has facilitated instructional design workshops for faculty to enhance learner engagement and participation. Previously, she worked with The/Nudge Institute, where her focus area of design was skill development-based curricula and learning solutions, enhancing trainer effectiveness and learner engagement. She holds a Master’s in Lifelong Learning & Extension from the University of Delhi and was awarded a UGC scholarship to attend the International Winter School at Würzburg University, Germany.

Ms. Sneha Kumari

Program Officer, PHFI

Sneha Kumari is a Program Officer at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), where she works with the eLearning Unit. With a background in Medical Technology from Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and a Master’s in Public Health from the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar, Sneha brings expertise in research and analysis, including proficiency in research tools. At PHFI, she has been closely involved in the research, development, and management of eLearning programs, overseeing the creation of engaging content, assessments, case studies, and interactive activities. Her role also extends to project management, where she coordinates with faculty and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution and delivery of initiatives. Passionate about advancing digital education, she works with both faculty and students to provide support and enhance learning experiences. She is also deeply curious about the potential of generative AI and is eager to explore its transformative impact on the future of digital education.

Mr. Suyash Shadiza

Senior Manager-Video Producer, PHFI

Suyash Shadiza is the team’s Video Producer, bringing ideas to life through engaging and impactful visual storytelling. With an educational background in Journalism and a Master’s in Audio-Visual Production, he brings years of professional experience in producing non-fiction, informative, and documentary-style video content. At PHFI, he leads the entire production process with a focus on creativity and quality. From scripting and shooting to editing and final delivery, his work transforms concepts into compelling audio-visual content that strengthens our message and connects with our audience.
