I always try to give suggestions for easy implementation of any public health programs and motivate people to accept it including our staffs as well as our health officials. PGDEPI helped me by increasing knowledge and enhancing skills and confidence and learnt the application of statistics.

PGDEPI has increase of my confidence manifold in the field of epidemiology. Helpful to guide the team at grass root level to control outbreak. Enhanced my knowledge in outbreak investigation and reporting with in-depth analysis along with writing of article for publication in various journals. Dissertation should be included in the program.

Epidemiological skills learnt till now are surveillance, proper reporting of public health related cases, etc. I am sure the course study will transform my career front with leaps and bounds. The amount of knowledge which I anticipate to gain could provide me with enough skills and knowledge to boost my current position to a much higher one while delivering my services with more confidence. It is helping me to gain much needed information in the area of epidemiology. I am very optimistic to apply public health skills and knowledge as appropriate in any of my near future work. Currently, I am only able to apply the knowledge of proper reporting of epidemic cases in a manner which is globally acceptable.

The course has really been helpful in my job in my approach towards public health problems and reporting of public health issues. There have been many poisoning cases, I undertook a study to understand the population trend, it helped us to understand to locate the origin of the problem and presently we are working on that.

It seems to boost up my work performance in current and future. Its content was rich with consolidated information. The course helped me by gathering additional information.

PGDEPI DL Program proved very useful for me. I am working as a tutor in Dept. of PSM in PMCH Dhanbad. After completing the course, the department has made me the in-charge of Integrated Disease Surveillance Project (IDSP) unit of PMCH, Dhanbad. In addition to this, I feel myself more comfortable during teaching epidemiology to MBBS students.

After PGDEPI program I was recognized as a post graduate candidate with experience in public health. After this course I am able to interpret field reports more efficiently and identify outbreaks at initial level. I can start outbreak control activities as per guidelines and lead the team with confidence. Apart from this, my analytical skills and report writing has improved. This course has increased my knowledge of epidemiology and given confidence to perform my duties as a medical officer. Finally it has given me selection in Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Training program which was my dream and here I will be able to do what I learned like community level studies, write scientific papers, control outbreaks etc. I am very thankful to IIPH-Delhi for giving me opportunity to learn new things. This course has changed my life.

I have learnt a lot how to do surveillance, data collection, compilation, analysis, interpretation and providing feedback to concerned reporting units. This is very much useful in my current job. This course has guided me about the depth of epidemiology and how to use it in disease surveillance. I got confidence on how to do analysis of population being affected with disease in my district.

PGDEPI has helped me in performing my duties more efficiently and reasonably. I have developed and furnished myself in many skills after taking part in "Post Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology" like- Field Surveillance, Data Analysis, Outbreak Management, Study design and research paper writing. PHFI, by providing distance education is doing a tremendous job and helping people like us who cannot dedicate their full time for the course to explore more in our own field.

Epidemiology has always been a key aspect in every public health project specially the monitoring & evaluation part. Statistical evaluation is indeed helping the cause. May be in my future assignments when I complete this course I shall be aiming for a stint as an M&E specialist. I have more clarity and proficiency in Epidemiology which I though was lacking in my professional career. I believe that we always work in a team and when a broad topic such as Public Health is involved, I would refrain to comment on my individual or personal contributions. It is well organized program with all professional systems in place.
