Trained as a social scientist and social worker, she had been working on public health issues since last ten years. During these years, she was engaged in work for various national and international agencies e.g. FAO, CARE, Government of India. Her work involved teaching, research, training, programme management and evaluation. She has worked on the issues of children, adolescents, women and elderly. In her PhD, she worked on inter-sectoral (health and ICDS) coordination issues at the community level between community health workers in Rajasthan state of India. She is currently engaged in teaching and research at IIPHG, Gujarat. She has various papers published in this area to her credit.
Education/Professional training: She completed DPhil (PhD) from the University of Oxford (UK) after completing MPhil from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), India and Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Delhi, India.
