Since last eleven years, he has been involved in research activities on different health related issues. His prime area of interest has been Health Policy and Human development, Economics of HIV/AIDS, and Health financing and insurance. While he has always been an institutional researcher, his work have been funded by multilateral agencies like WHO, World Bank, UNDP, and UNAIDS, international NGOS like Population Council, Constella Futures, and Global Fund recipient like PFI. Since more than five years, he has been involved in teaching and training activities at the Public Health Foundation of India. He teaches modules on Health Economics, Health financing and insurance, Demography and Health Sector Reforms and NRHM. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDHM) with specialization in Health Management, from Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Jaipur, India. He has recently submitted his doctoral thesis entitled “Planning for Health Coverage for Emerging Diseases in India: A case study of HIV/AIDS” to the University of Delhi. He also has International Professional Certificate in HIV Infection (IPC-HIV), from Sydney University, Sydney, Australia.
