Module Coordinator: Community Nutrition, Planning & Management of Nutrition Programs
Dr. Rajmohan Panda is a preventive medicine specialist and trained in public health at Emory University in the USA. Dr Panda has worked a primary health care doctor in the Orissa state health department. His various other stints have included jobs at CARE India, the American Cancer Society and Tobacco Technical Assistance Consortium at Emory in Atlanta. His work at Care involved research and advocacy in the Integrated Nutrition and Health project and capacity building of ICDS functionaries.
Current work:
Dr Panda currently leads many research projects at the PHFI. His research interests are mostly in health system strengthening and in universal health care. A wide variety of work has involved maternal neonatal child health and nutrition. His work focuses on operation / intervention research as a way of building capacities in programs and state institutions. His other responsibilities at the PHFI have included developing teaching modules for the PGDHM and training modules for short term training courses. He currently serves as a review author of several Indian and international journals.
