Dr Abid Qureshi is an aspiring individual Public Health Professional, currently working as a Thematic Lead under SRESTHA Gujarat, Project, funded by World Bank. Earlier he had worked as Research officer under Health Technology Assessment at Regional Resource center at IIPHG, funded by Department of Health Research, Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi. Dr Qureshi had served as Course Manager – Care Bihar Training Program and course manager under this Certificate course in Community Health under AYUSHMAN BHARAT SCHEME. This course was jointly run by the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar University and State Institute of Health and family welfare -SIHFW. After completion of CCCH, candidates were placed as Community Health officers at Health and Wellness centres across Gujarat.
He did his Bachelors in Homeopathic medicine and surgery from AH Medical College, Ahmedabad. He possessed his post-graduation from the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar. Dr Qureshi had worked with the Department of Women and Child Development and Health and Family welfare department of Gujarat as a senior Consultant - Health and Nutrition for more than 7 years. He had worked with district-level as Epidemiologist and as public health manager at Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation for 2 years.
Dr Qureshi had worked in areas of Epidemiology, HIV, Child survival, Maternal health, Health Technology Assessment, Adolescent Health and Nutrition with Govt. Of Gujarat for a period of more than 12 years. He is an extensive on-field experience in the implementation of Public Health Programs & research at the grassroots level to the state level. He is having strong managerial and technical skills.
