Sandeep is a Dental Surgeon with Masters in Public Health and specialization in Epidemiology from Manipal University, India. He is currently working as Senior Research Assistant at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). He began his career in Public Health with Indian institute of Public Health, Bhubaneswar (IIPH-B) and has been working since almost two years. He is a PubMed published author with other publications in peer-reviewed journals. He started his career as an academician and clinical practitioner but his interest in research/public health led him to pursue his Masters in Public Health. He has been a part of multiple small and large scale research projects during his tenure in Manipal. This interest is now further increased since he is a team member of the Tobacco Cessation project in collaboration the Global Bridges Consortium. In his previous position, he has been involved in preparation of technical and operational training modules for basics of nutrition, IYCF practices, WASH practices, Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC), Monitoring & Supportive Supervision and Childhood illness for frontline workers in Odisha, India. He has worked as a consultant on projects of Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) funded by The European Union, UNICEF and the National Health Mission in the past.
