Dr Ghosh-Jerath holds a Masters and PhD in Food & Nutrition from Delhi University. She is a qualified Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Nutritionist (AN) in Australia and has more than 22 years of experience as a clinical, academic and research nutritionist. Currently, she is working at IIPH-Delhi, PHFI as a faculty and is an adjunct faculty at AcSIR (Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research) in the faculty of biological sciences since December 2015. She is an intermediate fellow with the Wellcome trust DBT India Alliance and is leading the research work tilted “Dietary diversity and nutritive value of indigenous foods in addressing food security and nutritional status of vulnerable tribal communities of India”.
She has worked as a Consultant (Health, Nutrition & Family Welfare Division) in Planning Commission of India. She has served as the National Coordinator for a World Bank assisted capacity building project on Food and Drug Safety under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GOI. She was a faculty with Lady Irwin College, Delhi University, India in the department of Foods and Nutrition. She has worked as a research dietitian in a clinical trial on phenylketonuria at the Children‘s Hospital at Westmead, Australia and a research assistant at the Sick Kids Hospital, Toronto, Canada. She started her career as a clinical nutritionist and worked with Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi for 5 years as a Senior Dietitian.
