About the course
Dealing with categorical dependent variable in analytical epidemiology involves the use of statistical methods that are different from those traditionally used. In particular, the application of logistic regression requires the understanding of intricacies, concepts and interpretation that are different from a linear regression that most of us are familiar with. This workshop is intended to provide a sound grounding in analytical techniques surrounding categorical outcomes and adequate skills to perform such analyses using STATA. This workshop will cover key issues surrounding the principles and application of logistic regression including fundamentals such as cross?tabulation, chi?square test and odds ratios. P
At the end of workshop, participants will gain theoretical insights and applied skills to address research questions involving categorical dependent variable. S/he will be confident to use STATA to conduct more advanced statistical work on their own data.
